Utilizing Nautilus's passive on separate enemies is key when engaging. Try to auto once on every nearby enemy and then continue or escape with your dredge line(Q). Also, your W is an auto attack reset. This can be used to root 2 enemies quickly or pile damage onto a single target. Ie. Auto attack then W then AA again.
The damage type that Nautilus deals is mostly Magic Damage.
Nautilus's damage type breakdowns as follows:
Nautilus' basic attacks deal 14 - 116 (based on level) bonus physical damage and immobilize his targets for 0.75/1/1.25/1.5 seconds (at levels 1/6/11/16). This effect cannot happen more than once every 6 seconds on the same target.
Nautilus hurls his anchor forward. If it hits an enemy unit, Nautilus drags himself and the target together dealing 70/115/160/205/250 (+90% bonus Ability Power) magic damage and stunning them briefly.If the anchor hits terrain, Nautilus will drag himself forward, the cooldown is reduced by 50%, and 50% of the Mana cost is refunded.
Nautilus surrounds himself with dark energies for 6 seconds, shielding him from the next 50/60/70/80/90 (+10% of bonus Health) (8/9/10/11/12% of his max Health) damage.While the shield persists, Nautilus' basic attacks deal 30/40/50/60/70 (+40% bonus Ability Power) bonus magic damage over 2 seconds to all enemies around his target.
Nautilus slams the ground, causing the earth to explode around him. Each explosion deals 55/90/125/160/195 (+50% bonus Ability Power) magic damage to enemies in the area and slows them by 30/35/40/45/50% for 1.25 seconds. This slow diminishes over time.A unit can be hit by more than one explosion, but they take 50% less damage from additional explosions.Riptide deals 150% increased damage against monsters.
Nautilus fires a shockwave that chases an enemy champion, dealing 125/175/225 (+40% bonus Ability Power) magic damage to other enemies it passes through, knocking them into the air, and stunning them for 1/1.5/2 seconds.The shockwave explodes upon hitting its target dealing 150/275/400 (+80% bonus Ability Power) magic damage, launching them into the air and stunning them for 1/1.5/2 seconds.
